Rates

Every assignment has its particular circumstances, particular deadlines and particular requirements, so that the ‘price for the job’ will always be negotiatable in advance. As a guide, Zigurds would normally aim to charge EUR 80 per hour of his time, or EUR 600 for a day (of eight working hours), plus travelling expenses if the job is located outside the Greater Brussels area. For jobs outside Belgium but in the eurozone, a charge for overnight accommodation would also normally be made. For jobs in the United Kingdom, the indicative hourly and daily rates would be GBP 80 and 600, respectively. Elsewhere outside the eurozone, the charge would be made in euros if at all possible, otherwise in the local currency at a rate designed to compensate for bank currency-conversion charges. The fee for proof-reading and editing services is in the area of EUR 30 per hour, but is subject to negotiation, dependent among other things on the client’s circumstances.
